Inherited the nickname Boni, from the grandda – I like to think his Scottish descendancy had something to do with it, but alas, it was his un-ability to pronounce my name, so Siobhan became (a much dreaded) Bawn and Boni was born from that.
Spent many a childhood day messing about with butter, sugar and flour whilst watching the Mam bake. (Her Apple tarts are still coveted amongst those of us who have been lucky enough to have tasted them over the years, and still her calling card if you are in her favour).
All grown up now and a Mam myself, I spend my days designing magazines and my evenings at home with the hubby (who loves the Mam’s apple tarts) and the small one – who has developed my love for all things arty.
Creative and crafty and a lover of all things pretty – I get to combine these skills into my ‘recent addiction’ for baking. And whilst my six-year old son is the inspiration behind my musings, my recipes come from the many cookbooks lying about my kitchen. Add a little dash of me, a pinch of imagination, lots of pretty things and they become the tasty creations you see photographed here.
Follow me on my journey as a mum, wife, designer and amateur baker on a quest to learn more about the art of baking and photography.
